MORE THAN PASTRY, NOW LEADING IN CULINARY & COFFEE!
MORE THAN PASTRY.
A MORE COMPLETE CULINARY EDUCATION.
For more than a decade, Pastry Arts Academy Philippines (PAAP) has been at the forefront of professional baking and pastry education in Davao and Mindanao. What began as the premier pastry school in the region has evolved into a leading culinary education institution, providing high-quality, industry-relevant training in Culinary Arts, Baking & Pastry Arts, and Coffee.
But our evolution is not simply about offering more programs.
It is about preparing our students for the reality of today's food industry.
UNDERSTANDING THE COMPLETE FOOD EXPERIENCE
In today's restaurants, cafés, bakeries, and food businesses, customers expect more than just one excellent product.
A restaurant may need to serve delicious food, quality breads and pastries, and excellent coffee and non-coffee beverages—all within the same establishment. A café may need to complement its coffee program with savory dishes, desserts, cakes, and pastries. A bakery may expand into brunch, dining, or specialty beverages to create a more complete customer experience.
The food industry is no longer defined by just one skill.
This is why PAAP has expanded beyond its roots in Baking & Pastry Arts to provide a more holistic and integrated culinary education.
ONE PROGRAM.
THREE POWERFUL SKILLS.
Our Master Certificate in Culinary, Baking & Pastry Arts + Coffee brings together three essential disciplines that reflect the actual needs of today's food and beverage industry:
1. CULINARY ARTS
The ability to prepare delicious, consistent, and marketable savory food.
2. BAKING & PASTRY ARTS
The technical expertise to produce quality breads, pastries, cakes, desserts, and other baked products.
3.COFFEE
The knowledge and skills to prepare quality espresso-based, manual-brewed, and other coffee and non-coffee beverages that complement the food experience.
Rather than training students to specialize in only one area, the Master Certificate gives them the opportunity to understand how these disciplines work together.
This broader skill set can open more doors—whether the goal is to work in a restaurant, café, hotel, bakery, pastry shop, or to eventually build and operate a food business of their own.
EDUCATION THAT MIRRORS THE REAL WORLD
At PAAP, we believe that culinary education should reflect what students will actually encounter once they enter the industry.
Our approach goes beyond teaching recipes. We focus on methods, standards, quality, consistency, creativity, professionalism, and practical application.
Through our hands-on training and small class sizes, students are given the opportunity to develop not only technical competence, but also the confidence and mindset required to perform in a professional environment.
Most importantly, we want our students to see the bigger picture:
Food is not just about cooking. Pastry is not just about baking. Coffee is not just about brewing.
Together, they create a complete food and beverage experience—and understanding that connection can make a significant difference in both employment and entrepreneurship.
11 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE
For the past 11 years, PAAP has produced more than 2,000 graduates who have gone on to work in restaurants, hotels, cafés, bakeries, pastry shops, and other food establishments locally and abroad.
Many of our graduates have also become entrepreneurs, establishing their own cafés, bakeries, pastry businesses, catering ventures, and wedding cake enterprises.
Their achievements are a testament to what can happen when quality education is combined with practical skills, confidence, and the courage to create opportunities.
FROM DAVAO TO THE PHILIPPINES AND BEYOND
PAAP's journey began with students primarily from the Davao Region. Over the years, our reach has expanded, attracting aspiring culinary professionals from Luzon, Visayas, and provinces throughout Mindanao.
We have also welcomed Filipino immigrants who returned to the Philippines to pursue specialized training at PAAP before taking their skills and knowledge back to their respective countries.
Today, our students and graduates form a growing community of culinary professionals and food entrepreneurs whose skills extend well beyond Davao.
BUILT ON QUALITY. DRIVEN BY EXCELLENCE.
As PAAP continues to evolve, our commitment remains the same: to provide quality education founded on high standards and real-world application.
We are proud of our heritage in Baking & Pastry Arts. At the same time, we are embracing a broader vision—one that recognizes the interconnected nature of food, baking, pastry, coffee, and entrepreneurship.
Because the future of the food industry belongs not only to specialists, but also to well-rounded professionals who understand the bigger picture.
And that is what we strive to develop at PAAP:
Well-trained. Well-rounded. Industry-ready. Entrepreneur-ready.
